This year, SpectorDance is requesting support for SpectorDance On-Site, a program that brings weekly dance classes and other arts programs to underserved populations in our community including, Rancho Cielo (serving low-income youth), Chartwell School (serving youth with learning disabilities), and the Veterans Transition Center (serving homeless veterans). We are also offering educational outreach performances of Ocean Trilogy and other SpectorDance works in partnership with the Monterey County Free Libraries, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and Monterey Museum of Art. Many populations in our community face barriers to participation in the arts. With SpectorDance On-Site, we are taking important steps toward bringing our successful programs to greater numbers of youth and families, and meeting a community need. We believe that dance makes a difference and that dance is for everyone!
