“Fran Spector’s work is intelligent and creative. She is exceptionally successful at blending artistry and scholarship in her work. Often inspired by the landscapes and people of Monterey County, her choreography is beautiful, even as she explores complex issues such as social justice and coming of age in a violent world. Fran’s collaborative work is of the highest caliber.” -Colleen Bailey, Executive Director of the National Steinbeck Center

“We were very impressed by SpectorDance’s professionalism, organization and follow-through. Lesson plans were thorough and creative, and it was a joy to see the students make connections between their own lives and those of the characters in the books when speaking about the themes. The performance was lovely, and we received positive feedback from the students, who were clearly better prepared to absorb and understand the performance. Simply put, SpectorDance is an exceptional organization that represents the best of artistic values executed efficiently and professionally.”  -Peter Lesnik, former executive director of the Sunset Center
