Dance-Science Choreography Workshop

July 10-14, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

Can science inspire choreography?

Can dance communicate science in a new way?

This workshop is for dancers who care about the health of our ocean and are interested in ways that dance can make a difference in our world. Dancers will spend the first day of this workshop with choreographer Fran Spector Atkins and meet with award-winning ocean scientists at the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute. Dancers will spend the next four days creating an original piece of choreography inspired by their experience with these ocean scientists.
